Wood Firing Workshops

Learn to fire an anagama style wood kiln nestled on a wooded four-acre property during this small group workshop. I’ll guide you and a handful of others to work together to handle the kiln during different phases of firing and produce beautiful pots. Whether you want your first hands-on wood firing experience or to hone your skills before embarking on your own firing, you’ll end this workshop with pots you’ve formed and forged through a collaborative learning experience in a beautiful setting with good folks.
Bring pots from home and/or make pots here in my studio during a separate throwing workshop.

• Three-day anagama firing with hands-on experience stoking, monitoring and steering the kiln in a small group setting.

• Kiln space of 10 cubic feet for about 40 pieces to be fired in a high ash, natural wood environment.

• Option to combine with a throwing workshop to make pots in house before firing them. Combined $200 discount for both

• FIRST EVER FIRING WORKSHOP DEC 4-6 - The kiln is currently under construction and will be built between June and September 2026. For aspiring kiln builders, take the opportunity to visit and discuss the design and building process of the kiln
